For many families, keeping a connection with Italian language and culture alive is important, but finding meaningful ways to make it part of everyday life isn't always easy.
Whether you're passing on your Italian roots, raising children between different languages and cultures, or simply discovering and enjoying Italian culture together, LIMEA creates meaningful ways to connect.
What is Kamishibai?
A playful way for children to experience languages together.
Kamishibai is a traditional Japanese storytelling theatre: illustrated cards are placed inside a small wooden theatre, the Butai, while the storyteller brings the story to life with voice, pauses, movement and expression.
The visual and sensory nature of the format makes stories accessible across languages and invites children to experience multilingualism in a playful way.

Get to know us on Saturday 17 October 2026. We will perform two Kamishibai readings in italian and german.
When: at 10:00 and 11:00.

LIMEA grew from a simple idea: language and culture become meaningful when they are lived, shared and experienced together.
For more than 15 years, I’ve been creating spaces where children and families can discover Italian through stories, books, art, storytelling and play.
In 2019, I founded INSIEME, a cultural project in Munich that grew into a community of 400+ families.
Today, LIMEA is the next chapter: a new way to bring Italian language and culture into the everyday lives of families growing between languages and cultures.
Through stories, creative experiences, Kamishibai and thoughtfully designed educational tools, I create experiences that nurture curiosity, identity and belonging.
